Build a kit list by role
List what players, goalkeepers, coaches and staff need. Include match kit, training pieces and travel layers where relevant. Decide which items share the same design and which need a separate specification.
Confirm the size chart first
Collect sizes using the chart agreed for the selected product. Do not assume that a size from another brand is equivalent. Where possible, use a sample or measurements to check fit. Keep adult and junior requirements clearly separated.
Create one master roster
Use a single table with the person’s name, product, size, quantity and printed number. Include the exact spelling and capitalisation required on the garment. Assign someone to check the list before approval and mark the final version clearly.
Review sponsor and crest artwork
Supply the best available original files and clarify approved colours. Check whether every team or age group uses the same sponsors. Confirm placement, scale and visibility for both the light and dark parts of the kit.
Think about the season ahead
Discuss spare pieces, new players and possible repeat orders. Keep the final design and size information together. Reorders may need material and colour availability checked again, so ask how to plan for continuity.
Work backwards from your first fixture
Allow time for specification, artwork review, sampling if required, production and delivery. Tell the team about the date at the outset. Confirm the agreed schedule and delivery details before the order is finalised.
